ABC and the local community
At ABC we try to put something back into the communities we serve.

The Battersea Ironsides
ABC Wandsworth sponsor the Battersea Ironsides under 18 Rugby Team.
The Battersea Ironsides are based in Earlsfield and have teams ranging from Under 7s to Veterans. They claim to be ‘probably the most sociable rugby club in South London’ and have a busy fixture list.
Battersea Ironsides Minis RFC was formed in 1995 by a group of parents with the aim of providing facilities for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 to learn to play the game and develop their skills. Having gained the necessary coaching qualification the parents affiliated the mini club to the senior club, Battersea Ironsides RFC, and to the Rugby Football Union. Incidentally, the senior club was founded in 1943 by Colonel E H St Maur Toope from members of the 42nd Royal Tank Regiment Cadet Battalion, located in the Borough of Battersea. In 1948, the title was changed to "Battersea Ironsides" and the club was opened up to players other than ex-Royal Tank Regiment Cadets.

Softball National Team Tournament
ABC Selfstore sponsored the Great Britain slow pitch softball national team open mixed tournament.
Taking place in July, this event is an annual fundraiser for the Great Britain national team who have no official funding, despite being four-time champions of Europe.

Row4Life
ABC Selfstore were main sponsors of the Row4Life team who rowed across the Atlantic in the Winter of 2005/6.
Charlie and Phil successfully completed this arduous event and raised over £400,000 for charity in the process.
