ABC Selfstore’s Top 5 London Tourist Attractions…

Flights delayed? Stopping over? What do you do? There is only so much coffee you can drink and sleeping on the airport seats is not a comfortable option so why not use this time and go exploring for the day in London and let us take care of your luggage at one of our three handy central city locations.

1. Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace

The most famous lady in the country lives here in Buckingham Palace – Her Majesty The Queen. This is one of the few working palaces in the world today and is open to the public during the Summer months where visitors can tour the State Rooms and this year enjoy a special exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Coronation.

If you enjoy all things British then watching the Changing the Guard ceremony outside the palace is a must-see (alongside a flask of tea)! Find out all the dates here

2. National History Museum

This popular London attraction exhibits a vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history and entry is free. Enjoy exciting interactive exhibitions and gallery experiences plus world-renowned specimen collections on your visit.

3. Tower of London

Explore the Tower of London and its grim history as a place of execution and the stories behind them. This is one of the world’s most famous buildings, which is now home to the Crown Jewels and the world’s longest running visitor attraction – The Line of Kings.

5. Madame Tussauds

Come face to face with your celebrity crush at Madame Tussauds and strike a pose for the camera without getting turned away! The big names in history, celebrity, royalty and sport are all under one roof here in London.

Madame Tussauds Fact: ‘Sexyback’ pop singer Justin Timberlake gets more hugs than any other figure, and the dry cleaning bill for his super sharp white Savile Row suit proves it! That said, the yearly cost of maintaining the entire Madame Tussauds wardrobe would cover Justin’s bill for the next 30 years!

Wanting to stay close to your luggage in case your travelling plans change? Iconic Camden has some great places to visit this time of year and good Tube and Rail links.
