ABC Selfstore in Southwark will be joining thousands of people this September 27th in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Not only will the self storage team be baking and selling their homemade cupcakes to the public they will be holding a ‘Guess how many beans are in the coffee jar’ sweepstake from the 20th September for a chance to win a cash prize!
ABC will also be donating £5 from every sale they make between the 24th and 27th September at their Southwark branch.
The event started in 1990, when a local fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning where people came along to meet and mingle – as they might ordinarily do – but donate the cost of their coffee to Macmillan in the process. The idea seemed such a simple, yet effective one that they suggested the model be taken up nationally. The first National World’s Biggest Coffee Morning was in 1991, when 2,600 people registered to hold coffee mornings across the country. Since then it has raised over £75 million in total for Macmillan Cancer Support.
So if you fancy a coffee and some cake pop in and see Nadine and the gang to help them raise funds for this great cause.
