Right. It’s time for another storage related look at some of our favourite Ikeahacker creations. This month we’ve picked something quite close to our heart – storage boxes. But these aren’t storage boxes as you’ll see them stacked in one of our storage units. These are storage boxes used in a truly innovative way that’s both visually spectacular and wonderfully practical. A rare old combination in this day and age. It’s the Trofast studio and we think it’s Trofast-tastic.
Ikea’s Trofast storage boxes are one of those a-bit-mundane-but-can’t-do-without household additions. Inexpensive plastic boxes to store things in. Conventional wisdom is simply to buy them with lids and stack them one atop the other. Alternatively the Swedish furniture giant offer all manner of frames and shelving modules to help you arrange them more resplendently.
Nothing will be as smart as the Trofast Studio though. We think it’s the ultimate in brilliant-but-budget interiors. A place to store your stuff, but that looks like it is part of a futuristic compartment in a time travelling spacecraft. And those ceiling lights are just genius. In fact, we think they almost have an element of 1980’s sci-fi TARDIS to it. We feel sure you’ll agree?
