Paul’s charity bike ride

image (47)Paul the Assistant Manager of Wandsworth ABC cycled to all three ABC stores to help raise funds in support of The Prince’s Trust team programme at South Thames College.

The Route

The charity bike ride began at our store on Garratt Lane in the borough of Wandsworth. Paul then cycled the app.11 miles to ABC’s Camden branch on York Way.

After catching his breath and enjoying a cuppa Paul cycled the app.7 miles to Southwark ABC on Ossory Road just off of the famous Old Kent Road. Staff showered Paul with balloons and cheers before he cycled back to his store completing another app.9 miles.

Paul completed the ride in under 3 hours and has so far raised just over £200 with lots of donations still coming in!

The Prince’s Trust

Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year.

The Prince’s Trust address this by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. They help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training.

  • The Prince’s Trust aims to help 58,000 disadvantaged young people in the UK this year, giving them the confidence and skills to turn their lives around
  • Three in four young people on Prince’s Trust schemes move into work, training or education
  • Just £3 a month can help turn around a young life
