If this scares you, just wait until this Friday 12th February when all of the team at Camden ABC will be sporting their bad hair to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity who make a difference to the lives of thousands of very ill children.
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare and together with their research partner, the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH), GOSH form the UK’s only academic biomedical research centre specialising in paediatrics.
Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses. Each year, there are over 255,000 patient visits to the hospital.
Most of the children they care for are referred from other hospitals throughout the UK and overseas. There are more than 50 different clinical specialties at GOSH. Finding new and better treatments and cures for childhood illnesses has always been central to their work.
GOSH is also at the forefront of paediatric training in the UK. They train more children’s nurses than any other hospital. They also play a leading role in training paediatric doctors.
It’s not too late to sign up to take part in this year’s Bad Hair Day, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
