In the second of our series looking at Summer Holiday activities near our stores, we turn to Southwark. One of London’s oldest Borough’s on the Southbank of the Thames. Which mean’s there’s plenty going on. So if you’re looking for something to keep the children organised and entertained in – whilst school is out – well there’s plenty of choice.
From Sports to Music to Arts and Crafts – there’s a whole plethora of activities available across the Borough to keep the younger ones occupied. Here’s our pick…
Football and Tennis at Colombo
Colombo Street Community Sports Centre is the venue for a range of courses over the summer. UEFA B and FA Level 2 Coaches will be on hand to teach and instruct youngsters in the beautiful game (and let’s hope – after their recent performance – for the England Team’s sake they can impassion some skilled stars of tomorrow!), whilst coaches from Southwark Tennis Club will be helping youngsters develop their inner Murray.
If your daughter or son is a back-flipping bonkers or a demon at a one handed round-off, they might be well up for a Gymnastics Summer club. Southwark Gymnastics club are running a holiday club from 24th July right through to 1st September, based at Brunswick School in Camberwell.
