…These Tips Will Help You Relax and Prepare for Judgement Day!
The summer break is in full swing, but we know that if you’re a GCSE, A level, National Diploma or degree student, you’re probably just about ready to pull your eyeballs out in nervous anticipation.
Okay, if you’re in Scotland, you’ve probably already had your results so we would like to take this opportunity to say we hope you got all you hoped for and we wish you every success for the future.
If you’re one of the many students in the UK who is yet to get a taste of their examination results, don’t stress because we’re here to help.
We know waiting for your exam results is a tough slog – you’ve worked so hard after all. At this point, chances are you’re doing these things…
- Waking up every morning thinking about your exam results
- Getting yourself ready to contest potentially harshly marked results
- Being a little snappy when people ask about your exams
Don’t worry – that’s all totally natural. But to lighten your load a little, try doing these things on the lead up to D-Day…
Walk Forrest, walk
It’s scientifically proven that taking a brisk walk can alleviate a number of stress related conditions, making you feel happy and healthy – so do it! Also, music will help you get into a solid groove and serve to boost all that positive energy.
So, everyday on the lead up to your exam results, take a long stroll with a Spotify or YouTube at the ready, pick a nice route and clear that melon of yours; you’ll feel happier, less stress and more balanced.
Locking yourself away in isolation day after day worrying about your exam results, pondering a series of events that haven’t yet unfolded is not going to help.
If you live in or around London especially, there is so much to see and do – so gather up your pals, make a pact that you’re not going to chat about your results and enjoy an action-packed day out in the Big Smoke.

Plan the big day
More often than not, in life, being prepared means being in control. That said, send out a few WhatsApps to your pals and plan to meet somewhere fun after you’ve checked your exam results. No matter what the outcome is, promise each other that you’ll have a day to remember and be there for support.
Make sure you wake up and eat a healthy breakfast, enjoy a stroll, take the time to absorb your results, then get ready to make some memories with your friends. Whatever the news, don’t waste exam results day worrying too much.
We’re sure you’ll get the results you deserve, and even if they’re not quite what you were hoping for, this doesn’t mean it’s the end – trust us, it’s only the beginning. There are so many opportunities out there, and life is filled with many wonderful twists and turns so believe in yourself and embrace it all.
Best of luck guys and if you need help moving in or out of your student digs, don’t hesitate to give us a shout.
