It’s the Summer Holidays Again. Here’s What to Do With The Kids in Camden

Where has all of the time gone? Who knows? We don’t. But one thing we do know is that we’re in the midst of a wonderful heat wave and the summer holidays are coming around the corner thick and fast.

Now, if you have the little ones this summer holidays and you’re looking for fun things to see and do in or around the good old London Borough of Camden, never fear – because we’ve got a few ideas up our sleeve – and here they are – enjoy.

Regent’s Park

You can’t venture out in Camden during the summer holidays without taking the kid’s to Regent’s Park  – you just can’t – so make sure you go.

With acres upon acres of inspiring green land to explore including sensational landscaped gardens, supreme ball-kicking spaces, an adventure playground that is as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids and the mighty ZSL London Zoo, plus the Regent Canal both in spitting distance, you and the kids can enjoy an entire day of sunny action here. Oh, and for extra cost-saving convenience, why not pack a picnic?

Kentish Town City Farm

Yes, you’d better believe it – there is a farm in the heart of Kentish Town – and it’s awesome.

With a host of fun-filled activities, summer clubs and farm yard-fuelled action on offer throughout the summer, this is the perfect chance for you and your tikes to get back to nature, try something new and meet some of City Farm’s most weird, wonderful and adorable residents.

For summer holiday memories for you and the little ones to look back on for years to come, this is something you should certainly consider putting on your list of things to do.

A self-guided tour of Camden Market

With so much to see, do and explore, plenty of tasty street grub on offer and a wonderfully eclectic mix of sounds, smells and people to admire, taking your kids on a self-guided tour of Camden Market’s most iconic parts is sure to go down a treat.

Going early in the morning will help you avoid peak crowds and for a few fun-filled facts to tell the kids while you’re walking around, here is our Camden Market Through the Looking Glass guide for reference.

Creative Wiz Kids

If the blistering heat is getting too much for you all (or if it’s suddenly decided to rain – not unusual, let’s face it!), Creative Wiz Kids will make a cooler alternative to running around markets, parks, zoos and farms.

Once featured on ITV and based in St Peter’s Church on Belsize Square, this creative junior hub hosts a number of creative workshops that will have your kid playing, laughing, engaging and releasing their inner artist from start to finish – something that is 100% worth checking out if you get the chance.

We hope you have an excellent time with the kids this summer holidays and if you live in the area or you’re moving here soon and in need of a little Camden self storage, please so get in touch – we’ll be happy to help.
